Nestled on a scenic 3-acre lakefront property along the peaceful banks of the Kiriibbanara Wewa in Sewanagala, Governor’s Camp Udawalawe is a highly rated eco-lodge and outdoor adventure camp. Located roughly 12 kilometers (a quick 10-to-20-minute drive) from the main gate of Udawalawe National Park, our camp is the ultimate base for wild elephant encounters and lakeside tranquility.

Beyond 4x4 elephant safaris and visits to the Ath Athuru Sevana Elephant Transit Home milk-feeding sessions, guests enjoy inclusive outdoor recreation: free kayaking on the lake (with safety lifejackets provided), lake swimming, cricket, badminton, volleyball, football, and complimentary bicycles to explore the scenic village trails.
